Our Trainer-Cam McGarvey

We’re thrilled to welcome Cam McGarvey as the newest safety trainer to our team at Canada Safety Equipment. Cam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team, helping us continue to deliver the highest standards in workplace safety and education.

After high school, Cam worked in logging before setting off to explore Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. He later sold electronic components to manufacturers but decided to further his education at 30, enrolling at BCIT to study Marketing Management with a focus on Professional Sales. During that time, he spent weekends and summers running a D9 bulldozer to support his studies. In 2002, Cam and his wife moved to Kelowna from the coast with their four young kids, embracing a fresh start in the Okanagan. Before joining Canada Safety Equipment, Cam specialized in the elevator industry, focusing on sales, repairs, and modernizations—a field he dedicated 28 years to before retiring in 2023.

Outside of work, sports have always been a big part of Cam’s life—he coached his kids in soccer and hockey, still enjoys playing hockey himself, and loves camping and fishing. He has also enjoyed collaborating with lifelong friends at Canada Safety. Cam’s journey has been filled with hard work, adventure, and incredible memories.
