
Course Description
Confined spaces can be an extremely dangerous work environment. Identifying, understanding, and controlling the hazards provides workers with the ability to safely perform their duties within, or when monitoring these environments. This one day course will address basic principles and concepts of confined space safety and the roles of the attendant and entrant in the process. The course includes case studies, workbook exercises, and a fall safety systems practical exercise to understand safe vertical entry. The course is ideally suited for those who will either enter or serve as an attendant for those entering basic confined spaces a worksite. The course material will provide students with an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

FAQ
am i required to bring any supplies with me?
No, all course materials are supplied.
Do i require any PPE?
PPE is not required, however all attendees much have closed toed shoes at minimum.
Can I bring my own harness to class?
Yes, we encourage participants to bring their own fall arrest equipment to class to ensure proper fit. This also allows for onsite inspection.
Do you offer a recertification program?
Fall protection no longer requires recertification. Participants are expected to re-take the course after a 3 year period.
what is the difference between the 4 & 8 hour fall protection class?
The 4 hour program us designed for passive systems such as guardrails, AWP, scissor lift, or engineered tie off points. The 8 hour is designed for those assembling their own fall protection systems.
Does the confined space course included gas detection training
Yes, participants are walked through the bumping and calibration process. Atmospheric testing is also covered during the course.
Am I allowed to bring food and beverages into the training room?
Both food and beverages are welcome.
What forms of payment are accepted?
All courses require payment in advance to secure a spot. Payments can be made out to Canada Safety, credit, debit, or cash.
